SEIAM works across ten integrated focus areas addressing critical sustainable development challenges in Bangladesh through evidence-based programs and community-centered interventions. Our primary thematic sectors include tobacco control and public health (NCD prevention, anti-tobacco advocacy, smoking cessation programs), environmental sustainability (climate action, sustainable agriculture, solid waste management, natural resource conservation), good governance and human rights (Right to Information advocacy, legal aid, mediation services, accountability mechanisms), inclusive development (disability rights, rehabilitation programs, social inclusion initiatives for marginalized groups), education and youth development (skills training, youth empowerment, capacity building programs), health and WATSAN services (water sanitation hygiene, reproductive health, mental health awareness, community health programs), economic empowerment and livelihoods (entrepreneurship development, social business models, income generation, livelihood support), culture and heritage conservation (traditional knowledge preservation, cultural practices protection, heritage safeguarding), disaster risk reduction and climate action (disaster preparedness, climate resilience, mitigation strategies, adaptive practices), and research and innovation (applied research, policy studies, evidence-based advocacy, program evaluation, development research).
